Zhao Jun (simplified Chinese: 赵骏; traditional Chinese: 趙駿; pinyin: Zhào Jùn; born December 12, 1986[1] in Jinan, Shandong) is a Chinese chess Grandmaster. In 2004, he became China's 19th Grandmaster at the age of 17.

Zhao Jun plays for Shandong chess club in the China Chess League (CCL).[2] He is ranked 11th in China [2].

He achieved his first GM norm at the February 2004 Aeroflot Open in Moscow where he scored 5/9 (tpr 2613). His second norm was achieved at the April 2004 China Men's Team Championship in Jinan where he scored 7/10 (tpr 2652). His third norm was achieved at the November 2004 World Junior Chess Championship in Cochin where he came third scoring 9.5/13 (tpr 2633).[3]

Playing under the handle CK-324,[4] he earned a spot in the 2006 FIDE Blitz Championship by winning a qualifying tournament on the ICC.[5][6]

He competed in the Chess World Cup 2007 where he beat Pendyala Harikrishna in the first round and achieved a performance rating of 2668 despite losing to Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu in the second round.
